Based on the life of legendary Broadway showman George M. Cohan (who was known as “The Man Who Owned Broadway”), Tom Frueh’s new musical AFTER THE SHOW WITH THE MAN WHO OWNED BROADWAY had its workshop debut at Open Jar Studios in New York City on December 30, 2021. The story unfolds in Cohan’s dressing room in the Morosco Theatre in 1937, immediately after a particularly unsettling performance of a play in which Cohan has the starring role. Written and performed by Frueh, with music and lyrics by Cohan, the show is directed by Jen Jurek, with music direction by Chris Piro.
